“This is the second project I have brought to Washington State because Washington Filmworks continues to be the premiere state incentive program in the United States. Because of the funding assistance we received, this film could not have been done anywhere else, and Washington Filmworks deserves very strong commendations for such stellar, filmmaker friendly support and service. I have developed strong relationships with the local talent, crew, and vendors, and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them. This is why people need to shoot in Washington!”

“Washington Filmworks is a key partner of the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce and our Film Office. We work closely together to recruit productions, and more importantly dollars and free promotion for the Valley. I have worked in the film and television industry for more than 25 years, including serving as Executive Director of the Oregon Film Commission. The Filmworks staff are top professionals and they work effectively at recruiting production to Washington as well as leading initiatives to develop cutting edge media technologies. They do amazing work!”

“It’s an honor to host photo and commercial shoots in our community, and our recent experience as a location for a 2015 Porsche campaign couldn’t have been better”

– Kris Watkins, President and CEO, The Tri-Cities Visitor & Convention Bureau

“The Tri-Cities offer beautiful vistas that would serve as the perfect back drop for a variety of products and we look forward to additional opportunities to assist location scouts and film crews.”

“As a producer, my job is to help the creative team make informed, smart decisions about where they can make the best business and creative decisions for their project. Washington State is my home and I am so very pleased to help bring such a wonderful and worthwhile film such as Laggies to our community. If it weren’t for the production incentive program and the help of Washington Filmworks, it never would have been possible.”

– Jennifer Roth, Executive Producer, Laggies

District 7: Chevy Commercial

“We are very thankful for Washington Filmworks’ help in finding our location.  We searched for the perfect ranch for over a month.  The client had a list of requirements that we had to meet which were proving to be very elusive and hard to find in the perfect combination.  We looked in California, Utah, Oregon, Montana, Idaho and Washington.  I personally drove over 3,000 miles in search of this location.  The only one that made the cut was the K Diamond Ranch in Republic, Washington.”

District 40: Captain Fantastic

“We fell in love with Washington State the moment we began scouting. However ultimately the deciding factor was the incredible tax incentive that Washington offers. Unlike other states’ programs, the WA incentive is a cash rebate as opposed to tax credit. The staff at Washington FilmWorks are top notch and offered immense support throughout our production.”

– Samantha Housman, Line Producer
