Tuesday, January 21 is Film Day 2020 in Olympia!
Even if you didn’t RSVP, you can still join us to meet your legislators face-to-face and remind them how the film industry impacts Washington State through job creation, economic activity, and cultural enrichment.
Here’s a quick snapshot of what you need to know before heading to Olympia….
Base Camp:
The United Churches of Olympia*
110 Eleventh Ave SE, Olympia WA 98501
*Please Note: This is a NEW LOCATION for Film Day and it is not located on the Capitol Campus. Base Camp is located across the street from the Capitol Campus.
Schedule:
8:30 am – Registration at The United Churches of Olympia
9:30 am – Industry Welcome at The United Churches of Olympia
10:00am – 2:00pm – Meetings with Legislators on the Capitol Campus
What to Expect: When you arrive in Olympia, please go to Base Camp at The United Churches of Olympia for check-in. Once registered at check-in, you will be assigned legislative meetings to attend. Recommended dress is business casual and please don’t forget to wear green (or your Keep Film in WA tee-shirt).
Activities at Film Day: If you have time between meetings, visit the Base Camp and take part in various activities such as filming video testimonials, meet-and-greets with Women in Film, Washington Filmworks and Union Leadership, or even write thank you letters to your legislators!
